Welcome to Research Matchmaker
Research Matchmaker (RM) is a developing on-line, searchable database to help empower communities to address their urgent local health, education and socio-economic needs. Georgia frequently ranks among the lowest states nationally on these issues. Although state-wide in scope, these problems require local solutions - what works in Atlanta, often won't work in rural Georgia. Services must be tailored to local cultures, resources, and constraints. Many communities lack essential resources and research capacities to develop services, but current support systems are complex and often difficult to navigate. This handicaps communities with pressing needs and scarce resources.
Research Matchmaker is being developed to help level this playing field. It will streamline communities’ access to needed resources and research capacities by helping them recruit support from diverse, state-wide academic, nonprofit, governmental, and corporate partners.
We welcome all people who are interested in our effort. As a person interested in helping us to refine what Research Matchmaker can do for you, we ask that you register here and let us know what you think. We will use your email for updates on Research Matchmaker’s development and opportunities to provide feedback to help shape its services.
